Job Duties:
- Follow instruction from Foreman
- Work in a maintenance crew of 2-4 employees
- Comply with all health and safety and company polices and procedures
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization or jobsites, trucks, equipment, and shop/office area
- Loading and unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM of all required tools and equipment to reach daily goals
- Cut lawn areas, trim edges, clean up debris, blow trimmings and perform other lawn care duties
- Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with the construction of gardens and to meet deadlines
- Operate power equipment including lawn tractors, mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, chain saws, and snow blowers
- Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for a return visit
- Perform routine maintenance duties on tools and equipment such as cleaning and greasing and report and damage
Job Requirements:
- Completion of High school, college, university or other technical training
- Minimum 2 years landscape maintenance experience
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of materials, methods, tools and equipment of landscape maintenance
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time
- Basic plant knowledge and care
- Possess a valid drivers license
Conditions:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift minimum 50lbs repeatedly throughout the entire work day
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment
- Requires excellent stamina
- Required to work close to heavy equipment on a regular basis
- Required to work outdoors in the sun, heat, humidity, rain, cold, dust and noise.
Rate of Pay:
Depends on experience and qualifications
